I just finished watching Running Man Ep. 153 and I have to say that this is definitely one of the “must watch” episodes of Running Man. Although Park Ji Sung, previously graced the show in Ep. 96, I feel that this episode showed a more hilarious and entertaining side of him compared to the previous episode. This could be due to the fact that this is Park’s second time in Running Man, hence, he is more comfortable and familiar with the members; he could joke and tease them. I think he is really suitable to be a comedian as most of the time, his response was so sharp to the point it just jabs your funny bone.
Through this episode, you get to witness their true soccer ability of the Running Man members (mainly the guys) as you get to see them play more seriously unlike in Ep.96 where each has a superpower ability. The match is quite intense, due to it being a close fight between the two teams – led by two professional soccer players. Still, Running Man never fails to maintain its hilarity at the same time, as the match is injected with numerous body gags by the members – especially when Yoo Jae Suk unintentionally “face-slammed” the ball. Of course, in the mean time both Koo Ja Cheol and Park Ji Sung did also get a chance to display their impressive football skills.
Honestly, it was quite a one-sided game as the team who was leading, have been leading all the way till their victory. I was hoping for a reversal, but no there isn’t. Despite it being one-sided, it was not boring as the individual members in the respective teams go against each other. However, what kept my eyes glued to the screen was not the part where they were ripping one another s’ name tag, but the Monday couple moments as I am a big fan of Monday couple. Gary, was once again struggling in his decision to tear Ji Hyo’s name tag. And the Monday couple also reminisced their past together where Gary first allowed Ji Hyo to escape in the first few episodes of Running Man. That is so sweet and loving of them. Fans of Monday couple have to watch this!
Episode 131] Lord Of Ttakji
I am totally anticipating the next episode where Evra makes his entrance in Running Man, and also the Asian Dream Cup where some of the Running Man members will participate in it. Running Man fighting!
On a side-note, some Running Man fans, or more specifically, fans of the commander – Kim Jong Kook, have expressed disappointment over KJK’s weakening power and strength as he has hardly achieved individual or team victory in the recent episodes, and even the name tag tearing race, where he was originally excelling in it. Though I am a little disappointed too, I don’t actually think it was that bad as KJK’s weakened power makes the course of the whole game to be more natural as everyone seem to be competing on the same level. I mean, it would have been boring if he was winning every single episode right? So let’s continue to support Running Man 🙂
P.s. I did not mention anything about Sulli from f(x) even though she was also one of the guests, because there really isn’t much to talk about, as the ladies in this episode merely played a secondary role.
