Hajime No Ippo Ippo Return

The Second Step Arc is the forty-seventh story arc in the series and the first in the Bold Retirement Saga, as well as the first in the third and last part of the story.

Someone is getting bullied in front of his eyes, but this time he will be the one to step in and stop it.

Meanwhile, Miyata takes on his eighth title defence match, however, he runs into some trouble because of his unclear goals. , still a second, receives a pupil named Taihei who previously bullied Teru. OPBF lightweight champion Mashiba also has a title defence against JBC lightweight champion Iga, who Mashiba specifically picked for a reason. After witnessing that match, believes he found the reason he lost. Takamura announces that he will move to his next weight class after his title defence as the WBA/WBC middleweight champion against Michael Goat, who is ranked first in both WBA/WBC.
