I read this novel back in 2011 when Geo Adapted it for TV Series. I remember how happy i was to read it because novel was 1000% better than Tv adaptation. I don’t have much experience in urdu literature but i do remember that i cried several times while reading it. I don’t really believe in the idea of love at first sight it always seemed so stupid to me . This is what really shocked me that Hammad had only 3 or 4 interactions with Iman but still his love for her seemed so real it totally convinced me, and i loved it so much that i read it 2-3 times in the same year. it was seared onto my heart. and still remember the highlights of it. And as far as i can remember the prose was beautiful. This is by far one of my favourite urdu novel.
Khuda Aur Mohabbat Novel By Hashim Nadeem Offline
Some days ago I had some free time and as had nothing to do, I started reading this book named Khuda Aur Muhabat by Hashim Nadeem just for a time pass thing. As I have known the writer Hashim Nadeem for his beautiful book Bachpan ka December I thought, OK I will not get bored of this book..So the story began and I was stuck...!! According to the story written, at a time you are going through two phases of a character's life named Hammad. It is so beautifully and intelligently told that you find this book glued with your hands. Some of the very strange thoughts about religion, love and even the Jews History that were always circulating inside me and bugging my mind were all spread like beads and as I was turning page I was getting more and more convinced , Yes this book is definitely written for me. I loved it. Some of the philosophy is so thought provoking. I don't think so a romance so intense, sincere and tragic has been told before this book. There isn't any complication of characters or story. The writer just writes it away simply without making any struggle to prove himself or to make the book a splendid piece of literature, that is the beauty of this book and it definitely has proven to be among the best stories ever written on the sensitive and controversial topic of religion-VS-Love-thing.I really liked the writers philosophy and the way he got successful in making all us readers think about several issues that really need our attention. So I put down the book when I finished and obviously I was thinking with tears in my eyes. I have never thought of reading the same book again but this book is an exception so I am reading it again and all Urdu Book readers, who haven't read this book yet!! Hey this book deserves to be the next in your hands.A must read Long Live Nadeem Hashim!
A heart touching novel and as written on the cover page for everyone who love. This book is simply just love. It made me feel sad and happy. Many scene brought tears to my eyes. Emotional intense piece of writing. Though fictional but it hit me hard. Few years back when that novel was dramatized I hardly watched 2 or 3 episodes and the last one. But now after reading it, don't know what to say, but they just ruined the beauty of the novel it's excellently written. Didn't like and agree on few things but on the whole a good one to read. And yes for me it comes under one - sitting novels.
A mind-gripping story! with ets two sides (past and present)- both sides equally have da charm portraying da realities ov life in two conflicted-but-connected parts (london & pakistan) ov a Guy!

I haven't even watched it full but I know and feel like it is life changing. Religion contra Status. Love and God are one. Wonderful plus it has Imran Abbas as a lead role & & the type of Ishq I honestly like and want

Pictures From The Sets Of Khuda Aur Mohabbat Season 3
The story of Khuda Aur Muhabbat revolves around the conflict between class and creed, religious ideologies and emotions. The book mainly talks about love and faith and how these two factors contribute so strongly to a person’s life, along with respect. This story was adapted as a tv serial as well, which ran for 2 seasons, and it was highly praised.

Jan 26 - International Day of Holocaust Remembrance. Providence brought these events of my life together: I started watching a Pakistani drama ‘Khuda Aur Muhabbat’, inspired by a novel I completed reading this week. I was upset when the novel took a dark turn towards anti-semitism. Nonetheless, this was not entirely what bothered me; I’ve read Victorian-Protestant literature criticize the Catholic church. However, this is a modern novel. I kept reading to see if there was some sort of message the author was to prove at the end. The protagonist of the novel, is a dashing-intellectual-romantic Pakistani Islamic man, Hammad, whose love interest has sadly perished. He starts his religious journey after meeting this love interest. His affluent and modern Islamic family discourages his choice of love interest, as she is poor and not of the same socioeconomic status. The family also frowns upon his desire to learn more about his faith, resulting in an argument with his family in which Hammad leaves his home, gets a laborious job, and self reflects on the purpose of his life. Up until now it is a semi-bearable novel. The second half entails Hammad’s academic life in London. This takes a downward spiral as he chooses to write on the denial of the Holocaust as his final thesis. The novel ends with Hammad romantically wooing two fellow female Jewish students, who champion his thesis and convert to his faith. Ultimately, Hammad is able to get the support of the entire university to support this thesis of Holocaust denial. All as the professors are accused of religious discrimination. If you question why I picked to read this novel - please note, the author, Hashim Nadeem, is highly rated on . I also was intrigued to read Urdu novels and unfortunately chose this as my first, I’m sure there are better ones out there. We must be tolerant and accept difference of opinions. Yet, a genocide which targeted Jews, gypsys, political prisoners, the disabled, and other minorities, is not an opinion to hide behind the veil of tolerance and freedom of speech. I do not vilify the actors nor the team behind the show, in fact, I’m grateful they eliminated the antisemitism. Remember, we each have a platform, a voice, and responsibility under the pretense of humanity to use it carefully. For the consequences can be catastrophic. Final quote: “Remembering is a necessary rebuke to those who say the Holocaust never happened or has been exaggerated.” -Kofi Annan
