A series of short trailers called Special Movies (スペシャルムービー , Special Movies ) are regularly released for Dragon Ball Heroes, featuring new animation to promote the game. Each movie lasts one minute, except for the first movie of each set of missions which lasts an additional thirty seconds and tells a standalone plot with the main promotional character Beat commonly featuring as the main protagonist of the movie. The only missions that do not have an associated trailer are Mission 7, Galaxy Mission 2, Galaxy Mission 7 and God Mission 2.
The human Beat runs to the nearest arcade to play Dragon Ball Heroes, inserting a Capsule Corporation Hero License into the machine and placing down five cards. Future Trunks appears on the arcade screen and talks to Beat, who is sucked inside the game. Upon arriving, to Beat's delight, he has become a Saiyan Hero Avatar, having grown a Saiyan tail and been given a fighting outfit. He meets Future Trunks, Super Saiyan Goku, and a Saiyan Elite and Saiyan Berserker, who are busy fighting Perfect Cell and his Cell Juniors. Goku battles with Cell but gets launched away. Cell approaches Beat who tries to attack, but Cell effortlessly stops him and kicks him away. Cell prepares to finish off Beat when Goku arrives to help him, and together they launch a Kamehameha at Cell.
Majin Buu is playing with the Four-Star Dragon Ball in the middle of a city, surrounded by scared onlookers. Majin Buu transforms the people into candy and begins inhaling them but is stopped by Beat who kicks him in the stomach. Future Trunks gathers up the candy while Beat catches the dropped Dragon Ball. Majin Buu gets angry but is surprised as a Majin Hero appears from his stomach and scolds him. Majin Buu attacks the trio, easily taking out Future Trunks, and landing on Beat and the Majin Hero as they struggle over the Dragon Ball. Majin Buu sees an opportunity and eats some of the transformed people, enraging Future Trunks who transforms into a Super Saiyan before powering up further into Super Saiyan 3. The Majin Hero stops Majin Buu from eating the rest of the transformed people, and Trunks stops Majin Buu from retaliating, unsheathing his sword and sending Majin Buu into the air. Beat flies above him and powers up an energy wave, while Trunks below fires a Heat Dome Attack.
Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission
Frieza is battling Super Saiyan Goku, firing a Death Beam at the Saiyan who easily dodges the attack. Beat and the Saiyan Heroine Note both arrive in Time Machines, and fly past Goku and Frieza to break into Frieza's Spaceship. Frieza attempts to pursue the duo, but is blocked by Goku. Beat and Note run down one of the ship's corridors, easily fighting past a group of Frieza Soldiers, and arrive at the ship's control room. The duo charge up an attack as the two soldiers inside watch in horror, but are sent crashing down to a lower floor by an attack from Frieza. Frieza prepares to finish off the two Hero Avatars with another Death Beam, but the pair are once again saved by Goku who steps between them and Frieza. Beat and Note take out the soldiers in the control room, and as an angered Frieza powers up they charge towards him with Goku.
A cloaked Frieza Clan Hero walks into a village on an unnamed planet home to mushroom-like aliens. He is mistaken for Frieza by a child who throws a rock at him, but the Hero Avatar simply ignores him. Suddenly a large explosion demolishes part of the city, sending the kid and a larger alien protecting him flying. Lord Slug and his minions begin attacking the city, Slug transforming into his Great Namekian form and smashing several buildings. Beat and Super Saiyan Goku arrive, Goku taking out Angila and a Slug Soldier before engaging Slug while Beat easily defeats Medamatcha. Wings, flanked by some Slug Soldiers, attacks the two mushroom-like aliens but is stopped from harming the child by the Frieza Clan Hero, who removes his cloak and takes out the soldiers. Slug fires a Darkness Eye Beam at Goku and Beat, who dodge the attack and blind Slug with energy waves, before the Frieza Clan Hero flies into the air and brings Slug to his knees with a Death Ripper.
Super Buu, who has absorbed Gohan, flies at high speed towards Goku who offers a Potara earring to Vegeta. Super Buu is blocked by Beat, Note, the Saiyan Elite and the Saiyan Berserker, but they are no match for Super Buu. Goku once again offers a Potara earring to Vegeta, who accepts and they fuse into Vegito who immediately transforms into a Super Saiyan. Super Buu attempts to attack Beat, who is charging a Kamehameha, but is blocked by Vegito who easily beats him up. Beat fires his Kamehameha, but it does nothing to Super Buu who retaliates with a Ki Blast. Beat is saved by the Saiyan Elite, who takes the blast and falls to the ground unconscious, enraging Beat enough that he starts powering up, his hair beginning to turn gold.

Goku clashes with the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly in a destroyed city. Beat appears to help but is easily knocked away by Broly, who continues to focus on Goku. Broly pummels Goku enough to knock him out of his Super Saiyan form, and continues punching Goku as Beat watches helplessly. Growing increasingly angry, Beat eventually snaps, transforming into a Super Saiyan. Even in his new form, Beat is still no match for Broly, who hits him with an Eraser Cannon. Beat is caught by Goku who encourages him to continue fighting, and the two both power back up into the Super Saiyan form. The three Saiyans charge at each other, creating a massive explosion that blows away the landscape.
Unlike most Special Movies, the Special Movie for Mission 8 is mostly comprised of in-game footage, with only a small amount of original animation. Beat, Super Saiyan Goku, Goten and Trunks are shown facing Hirudegarn, with Hirudegarn using Dark Eyes to dodge one of Beat's punches and counter-attack him. Beat then transforms into a Super Saiyan. The Special Movie switches to original animation, where Beat and Goku are facing Hirudegarn in a destroyed city. The in-game footage then continues with the four protagonists, including Trunks and Goten who have also transformed into Super Saiyans, attacking Hirudegarn. Hirudegarn retaliates with a Phantom Beast Flame that launches Beat away. Back in the original animation, Goku tries to protect the wounded Beat from Hirudegarn, when the Namekian Hero appears to help them. In-game, the Namekian Hero Subspace Summons Great Ape Vegeta who fires a Super Galick Blaster at Hirudegarn. The Special Movie then switches back and forth between animation styles as Legendary Super Saiyan Broly appears to help Hirudegarn, attacking Goku who fires a Kamehameha at him. Broly starts to transform, reaching Super Saiyan 3.
Beat runs down a street, a crowd of people behind him, and arrives at a Dragon Ball Heroes arcade cabinet with a Hero Robot appearing in front of it. Ultimate Shenron appears on the game's screen, followed by the Dragon Ball GT versions of Trunks, Goku and Pan in front of the Grand Tour Spaceship who ask for his help. Beat enters the arcade game, appearing inside the spaceship with his Hero Avatar now wearing the Class-up outfit. The ship takes off from Capsule Corporation, leaving Earth and crash-landing on Planet Luud. They see one of the Black Star Dragon Balls on a pedestal, but Luud reveals himself and takes a step towards them, knocking over the Dragon Ball. Goku, Trunks and Pan charge at Luud, while Beat barely manages to stop Luud from crushing him. Dr. Myuu and Hyper Meta-Rilldo retrieve the Dragon Ball as the protagonists battle Luud, Beat barely managing to stop Luud from blasting Pan with Eye Lasers. Luud then inhales Pan, attaining his Full Power state. Goku, Trunks and Beat all transform into Super Saiyans and fire Kamehamehas at Luud, as the giant charges a Crimson Scream.
Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission (day1 Edition)
There is no special movie for Galaxy Mission 2, however animation of Goku and Vegeta performing the Fusion Dance and becoming Super Saiyan Gogeta appears in a TV commercial.
