Her Private Life (Korean: 그녀의 사생활 ) is a 2019 South Korean television series, created by Kim Hye-young and directed by Hong Jong-chan, starring Park Min-young and Kim Jae-wook. Developed by Studio Dragon and produced by Bon Factory Worldwide, the show is based on a web novel called Noona Fan Dot Com (Korean: 누나팬닷컴 ; RR: Nunapadatkeom) writt by Kim Sung-yeon and published in 2007.
Sung Deok-mi (Park Min-young) is a talted chief curator of Cheum Museum of Art, who also happs to have a secret: she is a fanatic fangirl of White Ocean's Cha Shi-an (Jung Jae-won). In addition, she is also the fansite manager of the famous The Road to Sian (Korean: 시안은 나의 길 ; RR: Sianeun Naui Gil;
Sian is My Way), the abbreviation of which (Korean: 시나길 ; RR: SiNaGil) she uses as her scre name. Ryan Gold (Kim Jae-wook) is a standoffish artist who develops Stdhal syndrome, evtually retiring as an artist. After the currt boss, Uhm So-hye (Kim Sun-young), is investigated for embezzlemt, Ryan Gold becomes the new Art Director of Cheum Museum of Art.

After unfounded rumors break out claiming Deok-mi and Shi-an are dating, Ryan suggests he and Deok-mi pretd to date to ward off Shi-an's fans who threat to harm her. However, Kim Hyo-jin (Kim Bo-ra), Um So-hye's spoiled daughter who, unknown to her mother (who would strongly disapprove), is another fansite manager of Cha Shi-an under the pseudonym Sindy, manages to land a job as an intern in the museum seeking to prove Ryan and Deok-mi are a fake couple, leaving them both no choice but to continue the act ev at work. Evtually, they fall in love.

Is The Korean Drama Her Private Life Worth Watching?
An Olympic silver medalist in judo who ops his own gym and becomes an instructor. After his single mother abandoned him in the hospital, Deok-mi's mother took him in and raised him with Deok-mi as family.
Deok-mi's best frid who is the owner of CocoMoco café which Deok-mi, Ryan, and Eun-gi frequts. Like Deok-mi, she is also a fangirl of Cha Shi-an who oft voices her sadness she can no longer be a full-time fan after becoming a mother. She helps with the creation of Ryan and Deok-mi's fake relationship. After seeing her employee, Joo-hyuk, at a concert, she becomes a fan and makes and runs a fan site for him.
Deok-mi's mother who is a knitting-obsessed woman who is oft portrayed as a head of the household. She urges Deok-mi to give up being a fangirl, citing it would be difficult for her to date since m would find her hobby off-putting. Not knowing Ryan and Deok-mi's relationship is fake, she becomes ecstatic and treats Ryan as her future son-in-law, inviting him for dinner and giving him side-dishes.

Deok-mi's father who is a quiet, soft-spok man who began collecting suiseki stones after his business failed. He is completely immersed in taking care of his rocks which annoys his wife.
A chief editor of an art magazine and mother of Nam Eun-gi. After having personal troubles, she lets Young-sook care for her son since he was an infant. Young-sook and Se-yeon becomes frids and have accepted that they are both the mother of Eun-gi. Although she has a good relationship with her son, he oft calls her as Editor Nam and Young-sook as Mom, which she doesn't seem to mind.
A visual art director from New York who is in love with Ryan, her frid of t years. She follows Ryan and moves to South Korea. She works at Cheum Museum of Art in collaboration with Cha Shi-an for his upcoming album and art exhibition. Feeling dejected learning about Ryan and Deok-mi's relationship, she becomes happy after Eun-gi tells her their relationship is fake.

He grew close to Ryan Gold after learning that they were neighbors.

Hyo-jin uses her mother's connections to get a job in Cheum Museum of Art. She makes another site called CUPATCH where she investigates the validity of Ryan and Deok-mi's relationship. Evtually, it is shown how she becomes a part of the Cheum Museum family through her determination, creativity and hard work.

Seon-joo's husband who is a television documtary series director who hopes to switch to variety shows after the release of his currt documtary.On April 2, tvN’s upcoming drama “Her Private Life” held a press conference at Imperial Palace Hotel in Seoul with actors Park Min Young, Kim Jae Wook, Ahn Bo Hyun, and producing director (PD) Hong Jong Chan in attendance.
“Her Private Life” is a romantic comedy that tells the story of Sung Duk Mi (Park Min Young), a professional gallery curator who lives a secret life as an idol fangirl, and her prickly boss Ryan (Kim Jae Wook).
During the press conference, the actors discussed about their personal experiences with being fans themselves, previous dramas they worked on, and the chemistry between the cast.
Her Private Life: Season 1
PD Hong Jong Chan began the press conference by explaining the drama. He said, “This is a story about a person who fangirls over idols, and two men who fanboy over the fangirl. I myself wasn’t very familiar with the concept of a fangirl, and I used to think that such a concept was far from the real world that we live in. However, while preparing for the drama, I realized that this could be a story about all of us. It’s about people who live passionately by loving and cheering passionately for someone else.”
He continued, “I wanted to deliver a bright and warm story. ‘Her Private Life’ tells the real story of Sung Duk Mi, a person who did not achieve her dream but continues to live. Being a fan of someone gave her a purpose to live passionately. This is more realistic than a story about a person who achieves a dream of ‘becoming successful.'”
When asked about her own experience of being a fangirl, Park Min Young said, “I was a fan of H.O.T. I started my life as a fangirl of [H.O.T], but I’ve since moved on to dramas. Now, I’ve become a successful fan and filming many dramas like this. I’ve also fangirled over coffee and my dog. Fangirling is truly beautiful and fun. It is a tool that gives happiness in life.”

Ahn Bo Hyun answered a question about his character, Nam Eun Ki, a childhood friend of Sung Duk Mi who has a crush on her. The actor said, “This is my favorite character out of all the characters I’ve taken on until now. There are many aspects of him that I can relate to. I consider Sung Duk Mi as my bias, and because I’ve experienced one-sided love in real life, I’m able to apply [my own experience] to acting. I’m doing my best with the role I’m given.”
Kim Jae Wook talked about taking on his first-ever lead role in a romantic comedy. He said, “My previous dramas showed intimidating sides of me, and I was upset that some people were too scared to watch the dramas. I also heard that many people are hoping to see a brighter side of me, and right when I was wanting to do that, I got the offer [for ‘Her Private Life.’] I’m challenging myself with a role I have never taken on before, so I’m depending a lot on PD Hong Jong Chan and Park Min Young.”
