In September 2018, the Thai remake of the same title premiered on True4U. It stars Nugthida Sophon as Jiew, Keerati Mahaplearkpong as Khaopun, and Arak Amornsupasiri as Chef Artit.Oh My Ghost is one of those dramas that made me feel sad when it ended. The ending was satisfying but I feel like I will miss the characters. It was like the feeling I usually have every end of the school year. I witness how kids bloom in front of my eyes then without really being aware of it, it was time to set them out to the real world.

The Plot: Na Bong-sun (Park Bo-young) is a timid girl who has the ability to see ghosts. One day, she was possessed by an outgoing ghost Shin Soon-ae (Kim Seul-gi). Suddenly she turned into this outspoken, man crazy woman much to the surprise of her co-workers especially her long-time crush Chef Kang Sung-woo (Jo Jung-seok).

I may be looking at it through graduation goggles right now but this is what I would call a solid drama. There was a balance of funny and touching moments. The storytelling was well done, the characters were really unforgettable and the actors were great.

The

Kim Seul-gi has shown her good comedic timing and equally good dramatic skills. I never really thought much of Jo jung-seok but he made me fall for Chef specially that part when he was so torn upon finding out that he had been falling for someone else. Im Joo-hwan was very effective as a cold-blooded killer with the innocent, boyish smile in front of everyone and having that evil glint in his eye once he is alone. He give me shivers when he nonchalantly killed someone.

Once Ler, Why Are You Once Ler?

And… Park bo-young, I just love, love, love her so much. It was remarkable how she was able to switch from the thousand-words-a-minute Soon-ae to the timid Bong-sun. One can really tell without further explanations if she was possessed or not, I may not have developed this concern for Na bong-sun had she been played by a lesser actress.

The supporting cast also deserved to be mentioned. From the wacky cooks, to the crazy mom and the lovable shaman – it wouldn’t be as much fun if it weren’t for them. Eun-hee, Dad, and Kyung-mo were also vital.

It was a fun-filled sixteen episodes. I wish there were more dramas like this. Now my problem is I am back to asking, “What should I watch next?”focuses on the “adventures” of Bong Sun and Soon Ae. Bong Sun, a quiet and timid girl who works as a dish cleaner at a busy restaurant. Involved in a stressful environment, she handles every situation with an apology and her head down. Soon Ae is a ghost for about 3 years, we don’t know how she died and neither does she, but she was a tough cookie. She worked in her family’s restaurant while taking care of both her father and lazy younger brother. Living as a ghost, she has just one regret; being a virgin. As a ghost, she tries to fulfill her wish, but before they reach the final step, the men keep getting sick.

Here's My Scrooged Review Only 30 Years Later

Being a ghost isn’t so easy as there are rules and a special priestess keeps the ghost on their track. Soon Ae is rebellious and before the priestess gets her hands on her, Soon Ae quickly jumps into Bong Sun.

What we know about Bong Su is that she can see ghost, scary ones too 😦 Her only living relative is her grandmother, who seems to be knowledgeable about ghosts. Being haunted by ghosts, keeps Bong Sun awake that it unfortunately effects her job. Her boss, Kang Sun Woo doesn’t like it, and persuades her to think about keeping this job.

On the day that Soon Ae posses Bong Sun, her personality changes and everyone at the restaurant starts to notice, especially towards her male coworkers. Though each male coworker fails, Sun Woo does not. These two are so adorable!

Seo In Guk To Make Cameo Appearance On “oh My Ghost”

With a lustful Soon Ae in Bong Sun’s body, Sun Woo desperately tries to keep her away from him, but the more he resists the more she wants him and the funny thing is he kinda of likes the attention. I have to say episode 8 really pulled me in, now that Bong Sun and Soon Ae are teaming up. The amazing duo! I hope we get more scenes like that!

As the story starts to develop with Soon Ae as Bong Sun, we are introduced to little bits of Soon Ae’s life. Especially on the person she had come to like, officer Sung Jae. He is very very creepy! We know so far that he is married to Sung Woo’s sister Eun Hee, who was met with a tragic accident and is now handicap and that he has a smashed up cellphone. His storyline is getting very interesting…
